​HALL OF FAME NOMINATION

The Hall of Fame Committee recommends possible candidates to the Board of Directors at the Summer Board Meeting each year. The board then votes on the individual for induction for the Annual Conference each spring.

​Deadline:  Nov 1st, 2024  ( see Requirements below.)

The Hall of Fame Committee requires that these steps be followed by people nominating individuals for the Hall of Fame.
  1. The resume of the nominee’s qualifications must be prepared by the person nominating that individual.
  2. The resume must be received by the Hall of Fame Committee by November 1st of the current year to
    be considered for induction.
  3. The results of the nomination will be reviewed by the HOF Committee. The Committee’s
    recommendation will be presented at the Board of Directors meeting in December
  4. The resume must include the nominator’s name, address, and cell and/or home phone number.
  5. If a person IS considered but NOT recommended, that person may be nominated in the future for consideration.


    A RESUME FOR THE HOF MAY INCLUDE, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA
  • The nominee has made a valuable contribution to the New York State Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association
  • The nominee has been a member of NYSDTSEA – include the number of years and conferences attended
  • Include titles and offices held by the nominee in NYSDTSEA
  • List any articles, publications or contributions written by the nominee for NYSDTSEA or other
    agencies/organizations that promote Driver and Traffic Safety Education.
  • List any traffic safety related awards and positions (including job description of positions) held during
    the nominee’s professional career.
  • List any major single accomplishment of the nominee that improved Driver and Traffic Education in their local location, state and/or nation.

    Review of the HOF Nominations
    The Hall of Fame Selection Committee will review the resume(s) of the nominee(s) to determine who, if any, meet the qualifications for induction into the HOF. A simple majority will rule. The Chairperson will present the recommendations of the committee to the Board of Directors at the December meeting for their consideration in voting for induction in the HOF.
