Current Curriculum Modules
Distracted Driving/Driver Inattention Module
The first curriculum module, focused on Distracted Driving/Driver Inattention, was completed in September 2013. The module is currently being pilot-tested in six schools across New York State. The pilot test will measure short-term changes in students’ knowledge and attitudes through a series of pre- and post-tests. The pilot test will also determine whether the information is easily understood and able to be presented by the instructors.
Modules under Development
There are currently three curriculum modules under development: Occupant Protection; Unsafe Speed; and Signs, Signals and Markings. These modules will be completed by September 2014, and will be pilot-tested during the 2014-2015 school year. If you are interested in pilot testing one of these modules, please contact Betsy Rees.
