New York drivers to face tougher penalties under updated DMV point system 

HEADS UP! New York State DMV's new point system went into effect February 16th.

​DMV Commissioner Mark Schroeder said the updated regulations are designed to target unsafe motorists/repeat offenders whose actions put others at risk, not law-abiding drivers.
